The first evangelistic work by Christ’s church in Sioux Center was introduced by CA Feenstra in 1967. His family aggressively converted people from Rock Rapids, Rock Valley, Hull, Sioux Center, and other neighboring towns. This work progressed until its members decided to merge with & support other congregations. The local church dispersed and sold the building. A large sum from the sale was designated for the new building construction in Sioux Falls where many continue to worship to this day.
--2010 --Forty-three years after first contact by the minister from the Lord’s church, Christians from neighboring towns once again began meeting in the more centralized location of Sioux Center. This time they met in a family garage. Later that year, they moved their corporate worship to the town’s new Holiday Inn & Suites.
--2011--An official reorganization began through the efforts of half a dozen families. They leased the lower level of the Corporate Center and by June quickly hired their first minister from the state of California. Also a new professional portable sign was acquired from a sister congregation in Sioux Falls, thus establishing a public presence.
--2012--The first "town-hall" meeting was a success as the church laid out long-term targets for the next 5-10 years. First among these initial goals was the plan to establish a greater public presence. The church of Christ with its unique bible-based beliefs and core values is largely unknown in Sioux Center. A social familiarity is sought out.
--2013 --The state of Iowa recognizes the church as an official non-profit organization. Along with reaching this milestone to satisfy state requirements, several evangelical works are underway (namely: website development & C.O.M.B.A.T.) with eager anticipation to see what God will do by personal & congregational efforts.
--2014--Most noteworthy is our incline of youth between the ages of six and fifteen. Several factors have supplied us with this increase: personal friendships, programs, neighbors, and engaging bible studies. These numbers continue to fluctuate while members among us give diligent priority to ensure their appropriation into activities and fitting studies.
--2015--The addition of a new family; the largest construction of our C.O.M.B.A.T. Mission to date; the building sale of our official gathering place; and the incorporation of a specialized marriage class into our calendar year has inflated our canopy over Sioux Center waving it up & down in the sight of the community. What will come of these things?

Identitywas specialized through the motto "Church of Christ: old paths, new adventures" and along with the development of a recognizable 3-Mt. Peaks motiff. Logo & Lingo were put to use on various forms of media which aimed to grab the attention of college ages. By these efforts, the church set their presence at Dordt during their annual Week of Welcome.
