Let me forewarn you:  In getting to know us, or even looking in on us at our outward self, it won't be any great surprise to you that the above two targets we have set before us are not yet found teeming with arrows from our quiver. 

You'll notice that each of us who strive to be Christ-like find ourselves looking more like young high-schoolers in the Phys-Ed archery program:  we're novices, and we simply need lots of practice to hit our target.  It's true what has been written, "the spiritual is NOT first, but the natural; then comes the spiritual".  However, each of us here in the church of Christ are trying to gain a better arm in the area of godliness with day-by-day practice.

We challenge you to come test our Christian Conviction; practice with us our spiritual archery.

the  TARGET  for  being  "CHRISTIAN"

Primary

Our foremost concern in claiming a rewarding fellowship at the church of Christ is that we love God:
  • with all our understanding (heart),
  • with all our personality (soul),
  • with all our intellect (mind),
  • with all our fervor (strength).

Secondary

As we submit ourselves under God, we learn that our purpose is to mesh and intertwine our lives with people.  We are creating a great human tapestry of relationships woven together for God to gaze upon with awe and delight.  Therefore, we also conjoin our Primary aim with one more goal:  we want to love others as well as we regard ourselves.
of these words above, Jesus stated, "This is the great and foremost commandment
                                        ...and upon these depend all the Law."
