From the text of Numbers 5:17 we learn that the tabernacle floor was inglorious and made of dust. In every other direction one would look there were relics of magnificent beauty... as long as one didn't look down! In the Lord's church today, we must set our minds on things above, and fix our eyes on Jesus, and lift your head to your redemption. God's house is made up of dusty earthen vessels, yet God desires us to see far more than a dirty old house. There is plenty to criticize even among the church of God, but then you are looking down instead of where your eyes should be. |

A verse from Dustin's lesson on Sunday has stayed with me ALL week so I thought I'd share. It's my new favorite! And yet it's a verse I've read so many times. The words are even the chorus in a popular hymn many of us can sing by heart, but I guess I never really allowed it's meaning to sink IN to my heart until now. What encouragement it gives me for living a difficult life of constant tug-of-war for my children's souls!

that made me cry. I can hear the power of God seeping through your words... the truth you fill your kids with will remain hidden in there for God's purposes.

THANK YOU, LORD FOR YOUR MAGNIFICENT BEAUTY IN A DUSTY WORLD AND FOR OFFERING ENCOURAGEMENT WHEN WE LOOK UP.

Candy; I know the concern you have for your children. I had them for mine as well! I had truths I so wanted them to embrace with passion. Thankfully Pam worked harder than I did and instilled timeless truths in each of my children. God has so far kept them in all 3 of my children and that he will keep them until that day. Now on to the grandkids..

I've also been pondering my thoughts for the Chilaxin Chamber topic and when I finally logged back on to submit them, found I was too late :( Now I know where I get it :) Comments are closed.
